Why is Quitting Smoking So Difficult?

img-cigarets-butsBefore anything else can happen you need desire. Without a genuine desire to quit and to be free from all the hassle smoking brings in to your life, you will not quit. You must have a true desire within you to quit smoking. So, ask yourself, you really want to quit, or are you being pushed into doing something that you don’t really want to do?
If you were able to pause your life as it is and make a few seamless changes, would quitting smoking be one of those changes you would make? (Remember quitting smoking isn’t about the actual process of quitting, it is about living the rest of your life completely free from the consequences of being a smoker)

The second prerequisite is making a decision. Are you willing to at least give yourself a chance and to make a committed decision to quitting smoking?

If you make an honest decision to quit, it means doing whatever it takes to quit, no matter how much it hurts. So go inside your mind and make that concrete decision now. Bite the bullet as it were, and make the decision to quit smoking now! Without making that decision you will continue to be a smoker for many more years. However, if you are willing to make that decision, you are also well on your way to becoming cigarette free for the rest of your life without withdrawal symptoms, cravings or weight gain.

You will have more money, better health, more energy throughout the day, every day, more confidence and a genuine sense of control about you. Remember as a smoker how much control cigarettes had in your life?
You take all that control back now. As a happy healthy non-smoker, you never again have to have anything to do with cigarettes in your life and because you have solved a problem that’s been there for many years, you can’t help but take confidence from it. Everything in your life is better being free from cigarettes.
