Ever wondered why it has been so hard to quit?
You hate smoking, you really want to quit, you hate what it’s doing to you, your health, your family etc. yet you still can’t quit. Why have you found making this change so difficult in the past?
Well, I’m here to tell you that it’s not your fault!
You just don’t know how to quit. Yet.
Maybe you’ve tried cold turkey, patches, gum, those awful tablets with their rotten side effects or something else? If you have tried those and failed, it’s not your fault. They only treat the symptoms of being a smoker, they don’t actually change you from a smoker to a non-smoker because they only work at the conscious level.
Which is why you’ve tried and failed or tried and succeeded for a while, then failed. That’s because, smoking is still inside of you. In fact, if you have succeeded for any length of time at all, well done. You succeeded against the odds.
Your habit of smoking comes from a deeper place, your subconscious mind. All habits come from your subconscious mind, that part of your mind that you have less awareness of. Your beliefs and your emotions also come from there. Your subconscious mind is that part of your mind that is much more powerful than your conscious mind.
If you still smoke, it’s simply because your subconscious mind still identifies you as a smoker. That’s why you get cravings. It expects you to smoke and when you don’t it’s not happy and gives you cravings to let you know.
Hypnosis simply allows us to go to that part of your mind, your subconscious mind, to let it know that you no longer wish to be a smoker. In its simplest terms, your subconscious mind accepts its new reality and let’s go of everything to do with smoking.
Which means that not only do you never want to smoke to again, but you never even get cravings again or withdrawal symptoms or any of the annoyances usually associated to quitting smoking. You are simply free and you feel that way too.
In order to solve any problem, you need to go to the root of it. Smoking is a habit that is formed in your subconscious mind, in order to change that habit, you must go to the subconscious mind. That is where hypnosis comes in. It simply allows us to easily go the root of the problem, change it at source so you never have that problem again, in this case you never smoke again.
The reason you have failed in the past is that you were approaching it from the wrong place. Essentially you were trying to use conscious processes (patches, gum, willpower) to solve a subconscious issue. It’s like trying to be logical with a two-year-old. It doesn’t work.
However, when you accept that your smoking has actually become ingrained and is a deeper issue than you maybe first imagined, you can then accept that it takes a deeper approach to solve it because once you let go of smoking from your subconscious mind, it never returns. You are free!
